FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
Registration
Q: When does the registration start for CACCLC 2010? How many spaces are available?
A: Early Bird Registration begins during late spring/early summer of 2010 for CACCLC 2010. As an encouragement for early determination and sign-ups, we will be providing subsidy to students and non-working adults by setting the price lower than the actual cost of the camp. Subsidy is only available to those to complete the full registration process during the Early Bird Registration period. Regular registration begins on early-July. Since space is very limited, registration is accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis. If all spaces have been filled up by the time you registration, you will receive a notification for queuing on our waiting list.
Q: What are included in the registration fee?
A: Registration fee includes 4 days and 3 nights lodging at Mission Santa Barbara, 9 buffet meals (Friday dinner to Monday lunch), camp book, a CACCLC souvenir, T-shirt, drinks and snacks, plus materials and administration fees used for the programs during the camp.
Q: Does the registration fee also include airfares or bus ride to/from the camp site? I live in Northern California.
A: Registration fee does not include airfares or bus ride to/from the camp site. You need to arrange your own ride and be responsible of any costs traveling to/from the camp site. You may contact your local church representative if you would like to carpool with a group. If you need help in locating a representative in your area, please contact us at .
Q: I have missed the deadline and registration has been closed. May I still be able to join CACCLC?
A: If you have missed the deadline for registration, you will need to contact us immediately at . Registration is not guaranteed. The final decision will be determined by CACCLC 2010 ExCo.
For Cancellation and Refund policies, please refer to the Registration Page (which will be available during the registration period).
Eligibility
Q: I am not a Catholic, but I am interested in attending CACCLC. Am I welcomed?
A: CACCLC is mainly designed for Chinese young adults with a Catholic background but not excluded to Catholics only. In the previous years, we have a lot of non-Catholics who attended our camp and enjoyed it very much. We welcome all non-Catholics to join us, as long as you could give the proper respect to the religion, and have an open heart to all of the activities and discussions.
Q: Is there a minimum age requirement for CACCLC? What is it?
A: The minimum age requirement for CACCLC is 18, and campers must reach the age of 18 by the time they register for CACCLC. CACCLC is targeted to a more mature group of audience, from college students to working young adults. Talks, seminars, discussion and workshops are designed to work with an older age group; therefore, we do not grant exemptions. Proof of ID may be requested to ensure meeting the minimum age requirement.

Pre-camp and Preparations
Q: What do I need to bring to the camp?
A: Bed, Mattress, Sheets, Pillow and blankets are provided at the camp. You will need your personal bedding items, toiletries, clothes, medications (if needed), sun-block lotion (if needed), and other things you may think of that you will need during the Labor Day Weekend.
Q: Can I bring my laptop to the camp?
A: We do not recommend campers to bring expensive electronic devices to the camp (i.e. MP3 players, Portable DVD players, Laptop, etc.) due to security issues. CACCLC and the camp site will not be liable for any lost or stolen items. Internet (wired or wireless) will not be made available to campers at the site. It is the best to leave your computers at home and try to spend a wonderful weekend with God and your new friends!
Q: Can I use my cell phone during the camp?
A: You may bring and carry your cell phone during the camp; however, cell phone use is strictly prohibited during activities. Cell phones must be turned to silent or vibration mode. We will post a couple emergency numbers on the Pre-Camp Welcome Package, so that parents or emergency contact person may use these two numbers to reach our campers for urgent matters.
Q: When will I receive my Pre-Camp Welcome Package?
A: You will receive your Pre-Camp Welcome Package via email approximately 1-2 weeks prior to the camp date. It is important to enter your email address accurately during your registration process.
